Race Overview
Stage 1May 7th, 2020
Morgul Bismarck Time Trial

This historical race course dates back to the mid 70’s and has been used for some of the largest cycling events in the United States. Riding this course as the opening TT is like going to see an old friend. Named after the original promoter’s cat and dog, the Time Trial takes in the most notable parts of the course including the infamous hump, wall and the feed hill. This stage will give riders an opportunity to ride on the same roads as legends and Tour de France winners Greg Lemond and Bernard Hinault.
The TT starts in the outskirts Superior, Colorado on McCaslin Boulevard just past the Conoco Gas Station. It proceeds to roll up “the Hump”, past the Rock Creek Development, to the bottom of “the Wall”. At the top of the Wall, riders turn right and head West on Route 128 and roll up the Feed Hill. The Time Trial finishes with rolling terrain finishing just before to entrance to Highway 93 North.

Note: Parking will be best around the Costco parking lot.

Stage 2May 8th, 2020
Flatirons Subaru Road Race

Taking place approximately 10 miles north of Boulder on the plains of the Front Range, the St. Vrain Road Race is a challenging circuit north 2.5 Miles to Route 36. Riders then turn right and roll along the foothills 2.5 miles to Hygiene Road. After turning right on Hygeine Road, riders take a long rolling descent to North 63rd Street for a taste of dirt. A short hard climb brings you back to St. Vrain Road, the loop heads straight to the start/finish to complete the circuit. This stage is a Front Range Classic!
There will be several primes for the flatlander to acquire generous time bonuses and make the climber earn his keep. Opportunities for parking will be on 49th Street off the road and in the parking lots made available by some of the residents that live there.

Note: Riders are encouraged to ride to venue via Route 36 North. Parking will be available at registration.

Stage 3May 9th, 2020
Boulder Center For Sports Medicine’s Sunshine Hill Climb

This 9.2 mile mass start hill climb starts in front of the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine at 4th and Mapleton in Boulder. You may not notice the picturesque surroundings while climbing the several steep pitches. Three short descents will offer very little recovery before entering the last few miles of steep switch-backing dirt. Parking and staging will be at the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine. This stage will give the climbers a chance to make up lost time and make race leaders dig deep to maintain their lead. The forecast calls for pain!

Note: Riders are encouraged to ride to venue or park of 4th Street.
